Hi, I’m Chris Freytag, founder of Get Healthy U and Get Healthy U TV.

I’m a lifelong fitness lover, wellness advocate, and proud grandma who’s spent the past 35+ years helping women feel strong, energized, and confident in their own skin.

Movement hooked me early on—I discovered how good it made me feel, both physically and mentally, and I’ve been passionate ever since about helping others experience that same “feel-good” energy. I believe in the power of fitness, healthy food, and positive habits—and I’ve lived it through every stage of life: pregnancy, raising kids, menopause, and beyond.

At 59, I know firsthand that what you eat and how you move affects not only your body, but your mood, mindset, and overall vitality. I’ve studied nutrition and wellness extensively, and I’m here to cut through the noise and give you real, practical advice that works.

You won’t find quick fixes or pressure to chase unrealistic ideals here. I’m about helping you take care of yourself in a way that supports your long-term health—not to fit into a specific size, but to feel vibrant, capable, and at home in your body. No perfection required.

Truth is, aging brings challenges. But it also brings clarity. I’ve learned to appreciate my body more now than I ever did in my 20s. I’m embracing the imperfections, celebrating what my body can do, and finding beauty in strength. My goal? To help you do the same.

One thing I’m deeply passionate about is helping women understand that strength training and mobility work are non-negotiables as we age. It’s the key to staying strong, capable, and independent for the long haul. I always say:
“Cardio is to live longer, strength training is to live stronger, and mobility training is to live pain-free.”
If you want longevity, strength and mobility are the real secret sauce—and I’m here to show you exactly how to do it in a way that’s accessible and empowering.

As a busy mom of three (all grown now) and now a grandma, I get the time crunch. I’ve lived the chaos of juggling careers, carpool, and everything in between—and I know how tough it can be to carve out space for yourself. But I also know how powerful it feels when you do.

That’s why I created this community: to be your cheerleader, your guide, and your go-to for making fitness and wellness a doable part of everyday life. I love talking about the little habits that keep you looking and feeling amazing—without taking over your world.

If you’re looking for realistic advice, motivation that actually sticks, and workouts that fit your lifestyle—not the other way around—you’re in the right place.
